Biryani Recipe using National Bombay Biryani Recipe Mix:
Bombay Vegetable Biryani:
Ingredients:
- 1 pack of National Bombay Biryani Recipe Mix (55g)
- 1 cup basmati rice, soaked for 30 minutes
- Assorted vegetables (carrots, beans, potatoes, peas), chopped
- Onion, thinly sliced
- Tomato, chopped
- Yogurt (curd), 1/2 cup
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- Mint leaves, chopped
- Ghee/oil, 2 tablespoons
- Water, 1 3/4 cups
- Saffron strands (optional)
- Warm milk (to soak saffron, if using)
- Cashews and raisins (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat ghee/oil and sauté the thinly sliced onions until golden brown. Keep some onions aside for garnishing.
- Add the assorted vegetables and chopped tomatoes to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are slightly tender.
- In a separate bowl, mix the National Bombay Biryani Recipe Mix with yogurt, fresh coriander leaves, and mint leaves. Add this mixture to the pot and sauté for a few minutes.
- Drain the soaked basmati rice and add it to the pot, stirring gently to combine with the vegetables and spices.
